In early 2012 I opened myself up for speaking engagements mostly because the more I talked to business leaders around the Triangle, the more I kept getting requests. My full-time schedule as a digital media marketer with Fonville Morisey Realty keeps me really busy, but I realized if I open my evenings and weekends more to these opportunities, then why not? There are still so many Entrepreneurs, small business owners/marketers, non-profit organizations, etc. in our community that are navigating their way through the social space. I figure why not share my expertise so that perhaps those in attendance will take away some nuggets, some key strategies to begin implementing the next day (or in some cases, hours later!)? So, in 2013 I began speaking to various groups around the Triangle. Here’s a recap of a few of those experiences.
January 2013 – Raleigh Entrepreneur’s Organization
The topic of discussion here was appropriately enough – “Top Social Media Strategies for 2013“. With over 45 of the Triangle’s best Entrepreneurs and small business owners in attendance, this was a fantastic event! I participated on a panel with such great minds as that of William Blackmon (CEO of Apogee Social Media Group), social media marketer, Christina Motley and one of the foremost experts on Google+ and Search Engine Optimization, my friend and colleague in the space, Mark Traphagen.

September 2013 – Princeton Chamber of Commerce
At this evening gathering of about 20 members and small business owners, I spoke about the evolution of search and social media marketing providing tips and strategies going forward into 2014. This was an attentative group with many great questions afterwords. Thanks to Twla Wells, Executive Director of the Johnston Community College Foundation for recommending me for this after hours educational opportunity!

September 2013 – Raleigh SEO Meetup
The topic on this night was Online Reputation Management (ORM) and I had the absolute privilege of sharing the floor with one of THE foremost minds in this arena, Andy Beal, CEO of Trakkur.com. Together we touched upon this subject from a very high-level approach for both business and individual ORM to a packed house of over 150 attendees in person and in a Google Hangout. In fact, you can catch the entire presentation on the leader of Raleigh SEO Meetup, Phil Buckley’s YouTube Channel.
If you’re interested in having me speak at your next event or small group, please see the Services page for more information.
