On January 14th, I had the privilege of speaking to an invitation-only group of small business owners in and around Garner on behalf of Garner’s Alossi Renewal Spa. Spa Owner, Dena Alossi McDonald wanted to provide an opportunity for some of her clients and partners (who are also small business owners) to learn more about how social media marketing could benefit their businesses. It was a kind of kick starter for the new year, so to speak.
Prior to the presentation and with about fifteen folks in attendance we gathered together to enjoy a meal of homemade chili and soup provided by Dena herself and Amy White, Executive Director of Community of Hope Ministries in Garner, which was also the nonprofit recipient of donations that evening as well. Then, it was time to share my insights. What started out as a one hour presentation ended up almost two hours in length! The group had many fantastic questions and just wanted to keep learning more and more.
Now, THAT’s starting the year off right!
Many thanks to Dena and Amy for the invitation and to everyone who came. I certainly enjoyed it and I hope y’all have begun implementing those strategies!
